HSE states that the public will have the opportunity to comment on their draft conclusion following the assessment of the dossier. These comments will be taken into account before any renewal decision is made. HSE expects to launch the statutory public consultation on the assessment of the renewal of the approval of glyphosate in Summer 2026. In line with existing regulations, the consultation will last for 60 days.
Following assessment and consideration of comments received, if glyphosate is expected to meet the legislative approval criteria, then the approval will be eligible to be renewed. This would be for a period of up to 15 years.
